Privacy Policy

Sojourner Bible (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is published by VentureLK LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We built the App to be private by default: the Bible reader works with no account and no data leaving your device, and we do not track you or sell your data.

Summary

The reader is fully usable with no account. Reading history and stats stay on your device.
We collect personal data only for features you choose to use — signing in and creating an AI voice.
Creating a voice sends your recording and the Bible text you choose to hear to our voice provider, MiniMax, which operates in the People's Republic of China.
You can delete any voice, and your entire account, from inside the App at any time. Deletion is permanent.
No advertising. No cross-app tracking. We never sell your data.

We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, browsing history, or any advertising identifier.

Third parties we use

Apple — Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases. Payment details are handled by Apple; we never see your card.
Supabase — secure backend (authentication, database, file storage). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
MiniMax (operating in the People's Republic of China) — AI voice cloning and text-to-speech. When you create a voice, your recording is sent to MiniMax. When you listen to a chapter in your voice, that chapter's text is sent to MiniMax to generate the audio. We send only what's needed; we do not send your email or identity to MiniMax.
RevenueCat — manages subscription/purchase status. Receives your account identifier and purchase events.

Your voice, your consent

Voice is personal. We only create a voice from a recording you provide, and only after you confirm that it is your own voice, or that you have the recorded person's explicit permission. We use your voice solely to read Scripture aloud inside the App. We never share it, sell it, or use it to train models for anyone else.

Your choices and rights

Delete a voice: Voices tab → ••• → Delete Voice. Removes the recording, all audio generated with it, and the clone from MiniMax.
Delete your account: Settings → Delete Account. Permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our systems.
Access / export: email us and we will help.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).

Data retention

We keep your account data until you delete your voice(s) or your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent in our database; backups are purged on our provider's normal rotation.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Account creation and voice features are intended for users 13 and older.

International users

Our backend and AI voice processing involve servers in the United States (Supabase) and the People's Republic of China (MiniMax). By creating a voice, you consent to your recording and chosen chapter text being processed in those locations.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted by row-level security and server-side authorization.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
